WELCOME AND TAKE A SHOT!

Hello, everybody out there! 🙋

My name is Rachel and I'm an English teacher. Welcome to my new blog! Here I'll be posting interesting things about the English language. Stop by anytime and have a shot of English with me.

The title of this blog refers to a small amount of a drink, like a shot of whiskey, for example. But do you know where this expression comes from? 👀👇

Interesting, right? 💁

A "shot" could also be a small amount of a drug that is put into the body by an injection, like a shot of morphine. But I'm not very fond of needles... 😣
